Purchasing, setup and Station questions. Still stuck? Our team answers by email and chat for a full year after purchase.
Purchasing
Orders, shipping, returns and support.
Yes. We offer one year of email and chat support to all customers. Our system is tested to help control developing mosquitoes in Station water, and we want it working in your yard.
Our goal is to ship in Q3 of 2026. We cannot ship Stations to a state until we receive approval to sell there — the current state list is shown at checkout.
Free shipping on orders over $175 to the contiguous United States. Orders below that threshold ship at a flat rate, shown at checkout.
No. We currently ship only to the continental United States.
We have a 30-day return policy for all undamaged products purchased directly through backporchnaturals.com. If something is not right, reach out first — we will do everything we can to get the system working for you.
Your Stations
How the system works and how to run it.
Mosquitoes visit your Stations to lay eggs. The Mosquito Pod releases plant-derived actives into the Station water, killing developing mosquitoes before they become flying adults.
Instead of targeting a single adult, the Stations target the source: it kills developing mosquitoes in Station water, so fewer become flying adults that continue the cycle.
It depends on your yard and what surrounds it. More Stations create more places for mosquitoes to use as breeding water.
4 Stations — small yards with well-maintained neighboring properties.
6–8 Stations — medium yards and longer fence lines.
10–12 Stations — big yards, greenbelts, water nearby, or neighbors who do not maintain their property.
Yes. Unlike yard sprays and fogging treatments, there is nothing to reapply after rain.
Mosquito populations can surge after rain, so it also helps to drain standing water on your property — buckets, toys and gutters.
3–4 hours of direct morning or evening sun, or 6–8 hours of diffused sunlight.
Reset your Stations monthly. Be patient — the system works by disrupting the lifecycle, which takes time. Expect the neighborhood effect, since mosquitoes travel in from beyond your yard. And reduce the post-rain boom by draining standing water on your property.
Place your Stations shortly before mosquito season starts in your region, so you disrupt the lifecycle before it gets going.
Placement
Where the Stations go, and how far apart.
The goal is multiple lifecycle-disrupting locations around your yard.
1. Place Stations every 300 feet between your property corners.
2. Place Stations in front of greenbelts, fields or other mosquito-prone areas.
3. Place Stations near neighboring areas with standing water or heavy mosquito pressure.
At least 50–75 feet from any outdoor living space. The Stations draw water-seeking mosquitoes in, so keep them away from where you sit.
In most cases no closer than 50 feet apart. In a particularly bad area — a greenbelt or an unmaintained neighboring yard — they can be placed closer together.
If possible, have it drained. If that is not possible, place multiple Stations in front of that area. Yards with consistently high pressure may benefit from a more comprehensive approach.
Pods & ingredients
What is in a Pod and how long it lasts.
Active ingredients: clove oil 1.47% and garlic oil 0.38%. Inert ingredients 98.15%. Safe around people and pets when used as directed. Keep out of reach of children. Use only as directed.
One Pod treats one Station for about 30 days. A 6-Station yard runs through 6 Pods a month, so a 12-Pack covers about two months.
Refills come in 4, 12 and 20 packs. Most 6-Station owners buy the 12-Pack; bigger setups get the best per-Pod price on the 20-Pack.
Yes. The Station is made from durable polypropylene and designed for season-after-season use. Only the Pods run out.
